Wellness for Life Curriculum
Grade-level wellness classes are woven into the science curriculum and taught by our School Counselor.
In the classroom, through the lens of physical, emotional, and social health, the Wellness for Life curriculum is designed to meet the unique developmental needs of 8th, 10th, and 12th-grade students.
Through techniques of meditation and mindfulness, a foundation for healthy coping skills is built that is helpful to the student's stress management. Timely and age-appropriate health and lifestyles topics are discussed such as the risk of using e-cigarettes, the importance of sleep, body image, and the use of social media.
