About

Head of School Welcome

Welcome to Falmouth Academy!

In a constantly changing world, I believe we need to ask: What does it truly mean to be educated? At Falmouth Academy, the answer lies not just in preparing students for what is, but for what will be. The ability to adapt, think critically, and engage meaningfully with the world is more important than ever. Schools must be places where students do more than acquire knowledge—they must learn to navigate complexity, embrace challenges, and contribute to something larger than themselves. At Falmouth Academy, we believe education should extend beyond tests, transcripts, and college acceptances—we cultivate curiosity, resilience, and a sense of purpose—we prepare students to lead meaningful lives.

We do this through:
  • A humanities-driven curriculum that builds critical thinking and ethical reasoning.
  • A rigorous STEM program that fosters problem-solving and innovation.
  • A strong emphasis on the arts, helping students develop creativity and expressive confidence.
  • A close-knit learning community, where students learn to balance individual ambition with a sense of collective responsibility.
Falmouth Academy prioritizes teaching students “to confidently engage the challenges of our times” and to develop a strong sense of purpose and place. To that end, we are lucky to be located within such an educated and creative community—we appreciate all of you who are anchors for our mission and partners in the education of our FA students. Through our shared investment, I am confident we are helping our students grow and develop in ways that will lead to lives well lived.

Warm regards,
David Perry
