Falmouth Academy is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization. Unlike public schools, it receives no government funding. Tuition alone does not cover the cost of an FA education, nor does it allow for the continued growth of the school, such as additional facilities and programs. The Annual Fund and capital campaigns cover those costs.
For more than three decades, the Annual Fund has been driven by the spirit of the Falmouth Academy family. The support of alumni, parents, friends, students, faculty and staff has generated much-needed funds for some of the school’s most critical needs: financial aid, faculty development, classroom and library materials and much, much more. Virtually no aspect of Falmouth Academy has been left untouched by Annual Fund support.
Falmouth Academy’s giving societies have helped the school foster its tradition of philanthropy by recognizing its supporters. All giving societies recognize members on an annual basis and, as part of the Annual Fund, stress the importance of unrestricted giving to Falmouth Academy.
Founders Circle (gifts of $10,000 or more)
Revels Society (gifts of $5,000-$9,999)
Isti Mirant Stella Guild (gifts of $2.500-$4,999)
Athens/Sparta Club (gifts of $1,000-$2,499)
Headmaster’s List (gifts of $500-$999)
Honor Society (gifts of $250-$499)
Scholars (gifts of $1 to $249)
Of course, it doesn’t take a huge donation to have a big impact. Gifts to the Falmouth Academy Annual Fund, whether $25 or $25,000 or more, are one of the school’s most significant sources of support. And because Annual Fund gifts are typically unrestricted, they can be directed to areas with the greatest need—and the greatest potential for impact.
