The central goal of the Physics course is to instill in seniors a love for understanding the world around them. The course emphasizes applying the mathematics of Physics to everyday phenomena through a broad range of experiences. Each student undertakes a long-term research project, presenting the results to the entire FA community. Recent projects have included small boat building, making a Claymation film, an investigation of the history of timekeeping, the neuroscience of phobias, and analyzing the engineering of the Sears Tower.
