Mariner of the Week

Wednesday, April 25

Junior midfielder and face-off man Duncan Fraser has been playing very well for the boys varsity lacrosse team.  After recording a hat trick against Mashpee, he scored 4 goals and won 13 faceoffs (while only losing 2) against Cape Tech on April 24.  His 10 goals lead the team on the season.   



Wednesday, April 18

Landon Cormie '23 placed 43rd in his age division out of a field of 1,061 boats from 34 countries, in theLake Garda Optimist Meeting.  Thecompetition took place over four days on lovely Lake Garda, Italy, and is considered the "largest single-class regatta in the world."

Wednesday, April 11

  In a stunning 19-3 win against Sturgis East, Ainsley Ramsey '20 contributed five goals and provided four assists and earned her FA Mariner of the Week.  "Ainsley's speed, agility, and grace on the field make her one to watch," says Coach Knowles.

Wednesday, April 4

Maria Kelly '19 traveled over break to Buffalo, New York, to compete in the 2018 Speedo Sectional Championships, swimming for Cape Cod Swim Club. It is quite an accomplishment to swim at this level and to qualify for Sectionals. 

Last summer Maria also earned two Futures cuts in the 100 Back and 200 Back and broke the Cape Cod Swim Club's Open Club Record for the 100 Back. Maria will travel to Richmond, Virginia, this August to compete, for the second time, in the USA Swimming Futures Championships. 

Maria's involvement in swimming has sparked her interest in becoming a physical therapist. As she looks ahead to college, she hopes to swim Division 1 while working towards a doctorate in physical therapy. Maria plans to volunteer at Spaulding Rehabilitation this summer.

Congratulations to Emma Fletcher '20 who placed 9th in the George Morris Equitation Championship.The nation's top junior athletes have been vying for a spot in this year's championship over the past eleven weeks. Thirty-five riders qualified.
