Learning Support at Falmouth Academy
Academic support is provided through individualized tutoring on a limited basis for both students with documented* learning disabilities and those performing below teachers' expectations. Additionally, when space is available, tutoring is offered to students who believe they could benefit from individualized assistance on a short-term basis.

Falmouth Academy offers students in grades 7 through 9 with language-based learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, Orton-Gillingham tutoring two to four times per week, depending on need.

Because of Falmouth Academy's small size and thoughtful pedagogy, many general learning accomodations are provided as a regular part of instruction and assessment.

Standardized Testing Accommodations
Students with documented* need for standardized test accommodations may submit a request to College Board for the PSAT, SAT, AP tests or ACT. The learning support teacher and the college guidance counselor will assist students and parents with the application process. * Documentation usually comprises either a neuropsychological or psychoeducational evaluation with supportive diagnosis.
