Jung-Ho Pak and the Future of Performing Arts

Falmouth Academy Community Series welcomes Jung-Ho Pak, artistic director and conductor for the Cape Symphony on Tuesday, April 3 at 7 PM. Jung-Ho Pak will discuss the future of the arts during his talk entitled, A View from the Conductor’s Podium: A Look at the Future of Performing Arts. How are the arts valued in our culture today – in education, entertainment, and civilization?

Jung-Ho has been with the Cape Symphony for over 10 years now, described by the Los Angeles Times as “a real grabber”, and the New York Times as a conductor who “radiates enthusiasm.” Jung-Ho Pak studied music at the University of California, Santa Cruz and conducted and taught at the University of California, Berkeley, UC Santa Barbara, Idyllwild Arts Academy, and Lehigh University. He moved on to become the music director at the San Diego Symphony, the University of Southern California Symphony, San Francisco Conservatory of Music Orchestra, the New Haven Symphony Orchestra, and the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. He joined the Cape Cod Symphony in 2007.
